Applicant Privacy Notice

Effective date: September 1, 2026

This notice explains how Scimitar collects and uses personal information about individuals who apply for employment with us (“applicants” or “candidates”). It supplements, and does not replace, our general Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

• Application materials: resume/CV, cover letter, contact information
• Interview notes and evaluation feedback
• References you provide
• Background check results, where applicable and legally permitted
• Employment eligibility documentation, if you are hired

How We Use This Information

To evaluate your candidacy, communicate with you about the hiring process, conduct reference and background checks where applicable, and comply with legal obligations related to hiring.

Service Providers

We use Breezy as our applicant tracking system to manage recruitment, and, where a background check is conducted, we work with Checkr as our background-check provider.

Retention

If you are not hired, we retain application information for up to 5 years in case a suitable future role arises, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your application information. See our State Privacy Notice and, if applicable, our GDPR / UK GDPR Notice.

Changes to This Notice

We may update this notice from time to time.
