Challenge
A clinical-stage biopharma needed CTMS capabilities (site management, enrollment, protocol deviations, safety monitoring) but commercial platforms were too expensive, too rigid, and too slow to configure for their workflows.
Approach
Scimitar built a custom CTMS-Light with executive and operational dashboards tailored to sponsor, CRO, site, and regulator stakeholders. Real-time enrollment vs. target tracking, automated protocol deviation routing, AE monitoring by System Organ Class, and bi-directional connections to Medidata, Oracle, Veeva, and lab/imaging systems were included.
Impact
The client gained near-all the capabilities of a commercial CTMS at a fraction of the cost, with custom waterfall plots, Kaplan-Meier curves, enrollment funnels, and data-quality scorecards designed around their specific decisions.
