Insights

Challenge: A leading pharma company was experiencing patient attrition and care friction for a rare disease asset, threatening outcomes and uptake for the product. The client needed to prioritized implementable digital / tech interventions for both near- and long-term solutions.

Approach: Scimitar hypothesized key patient journey outflows and benchmarked relevant technological solutions to address the issue. Hypotheses were tested through physician interviews and patient focus groups.

Impact: Produced comprehensive mapping and clustering of patient journey outflows, as well as acceptability and impact matrixes for each solution. Outputs supported prioritization of near-term pilot solutions and long-term technological platform investments.
