Regulatory & Supply Chain Simplification
We reduce the operational friction between regulatory filings and supply planning by designing lifecycle-aware rules, filing bundling strategies and portfolio governance. The result: fewer regulatory-impacting changes, less bridging stock, and faster, more predictable product availability across regions.
Case Studies
Portfolio simplification and lifecycle rules
Reduction of regulatory-impacting technical changes by >20% by aligning lifecycle strategy to capacity and filing policy.
Insights
Challenge: A large portfolio experienced frequent regulatory-impacting changes that created bridging-stock needs, tied up cash and increased filing complexity.
Approach: We introduced lifecycle-based rules that limited certain technical changes depending on product stage(e.g., late-life products prioritized for outsourcing vs. capital investment), trained TPMs on the rules, and implemented bundling strategies for compatible filings. Governance and portfolio KPIs tracked compliance and change counts.
Impact: The portfolio experienced a >20% drop in regulatory-impacting technical changes and a correlated reduction in regulatory/supply interactions and bridging inventory profiles.
Bundled Filing Strategy to Shorten Multi-Region Review Timelines
Shortening of overall review timelines by consolidating related technical changes into bundled filings for multi-region approval.
Insights
Challenge: A client submitted numerous small, regionally fragmented technical changes across markets, resulting in duplicated reviews, inconsistent outcomes and extended cumulative approval timelines that delayed commercial harmonization and complicated supply planning.
Approach: We assessed change types across regions to identify opportunities for legitimate bundling, prioritized changes that would benefit most from consolidation, and prepared consolidated dossiers with harmonized supporting data and risk assessments. We worked with regulatory leads to sequence bundled submissions to align with key supply milestones and trained TPMs on bundling criteria and tradeoffs.
Impact: Bundled filings reduced duplicated regulator interactions, lowered cumulative review cycles for grouped changes, and improved synchronization of approvals across priority markets—reducing planning complexity and enabling more predictable supply timing for downstream operations.
