​Zeid Barakat is an experienced entrepreneur and Biopharma expert committed to making a global healthcare impact, and to helping his clients bring transformative medicines to the patients that need them. He brings over 25 years in industry, and 15 years as a consultant.

​Zeid has led major R&D enterprise-level transformations across the critical value chain. Example initiatives include re-selection and negotiation of CRO contracts yielding15% reductions of ~$120M year over year, 50% manufacturing COGS reduction via automation solutions and process enhancements, and ~30% filing time reductions, equating to over $25M per filing, and a complete R&D productivity redesign, emphasizing platforms and E2E digital solutions for scale. Zeid has worked with cutting edge clients like Moderna, Sarepta, Apellis, Amgen, Genentech and Takeda. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member with the Tufts CSDD, an Alliance Partner with the DVLP Medicines AI Platform, and as a Board Member with Innotech Precision Medicines.

​Zeid also has been a successful entrepreneur. In 2007 he served as an early co-founder of Aura Biosciences (2021 IPO), and in 2011 he co-founded Flyberry Capital, an AI-ML hedge fund (sold to a PE group in 2014).
